Relaxation Classes

positive pregnancy, bond with baby

 Relaxation Classes during Pregnancy

Relaxation Classes give you the opportunity to take time for yourself, learn the important skill of relaxation and establish the bond with your unborn baby.

Research now shows that the pre- and perinatal period and early infancy have a profound impact on our mental, emotional and physical well-being. Babies need to feel wanted and loved right from conception.

Did you know that all of your unborn baby’s senses are developed by the time he or she is 23 weeks old?

The ear is in place by 3 weeks, functional by the 16th and active listening happens by the 24th week. Emotional involvement and expression reveal themselves as early as 10 weeks, and touch and taste and smell are developed by week 16. Vision develops by week 18-20.

Dr. David Chamberlain, a well-known psychologist quotes: Considering all we know today about the realities of life before birth, we must reset the clock on parenthood. To start parenting early, you cannot miss the period from conception to birth!

Parental influence on a child is at its peak during construction in utero.

Creating is what early parenting is about–creating a physical body and brain, creating emotional foundations for living, and establishing a rich connection with the prenatal self.

Learning to relax and nurture yourself is important. In addition enjoying the loving connection with your baby, contributes to a calm and satisfying pregnancy experience. This assures that your baby has the best possible start in life.

Read what one mum experienced:

“At roughly 28 weeks pregnant, I attended the classes. It ran for four sessions, with each one being slightly different topic and doing a meditation at the end of each session. At the end of each one, I felt incredibly relaxed and calm. This relaxation always carried on for the whole day. I found Christina very knowledgeable, helpful and warm. After learning about how important it is to be relaxed for your pregnancy and birth, I would recommend that anyone wanting a healthy, natural and normal birth to attend this class.
