At a young age, we acquire certain beliefs about ourselves and the world through our environment and the people we are surrounded with. Mostly unfortunately those beliefs are negative and self-defeating. As a child, we accept those limiting beliefs and they are stored in the subconscious mind. We then grow up with those beliefs and find ourselves reacting or behaving later in life, in ways which aren’t satisfying to us. In Hypnotherapy we can identify those negative and limiting beliefs. As they are no longer valid, we have outgrown them and can let them go of them! Thus we increase our self-confidence and motivation.

What is Hypnosis?

Have you ever daydreamed. Got absorbed in a book, or drove somewhere without remembering how you got there? This is the state of hypnosis! It is a normal and natural state of deep relaxation and increased focused concentration. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. You are fully in control and aware of everything that is happening. While in a state of hypnosis your conscious, or critical mind is temporarily bypassed. Thus allowing access to your subconscious, which is the most powerful part of your mind. As a result real and lasting change can be made.   

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is using the state of hypnosis to bring about change on a subconscious level where our deeper behavior patterns and beliefs are stored. They influence how we perceive ourselves and the people around us. Consequently our decisions are affected and our lives are shaped by them. When we are ready to make a lasting and positive change in our lives, these these subconscious patterns must be addressed and changed. In Hypnotherapy the subconscious mind can accept the positive and life enhancing suggestions. The negative and life diminishing thoughts or unwanted behaviors are released safely. Therefor positive behavior patterns are enhanced and the desired change is achieved.

Is it safe?

Yes. When carried out by a professionally trained and skilled hypnotherapist, it is safe, with no harmful side effects.    

How will I feel?

You will feel safe, calm and wonderfully relaxed. Furthermore you are not asleep or unconscious but fully aware. You are in control of your body and mind and you can terminate the session at any time.

 Finally you cannot be made to do something what you don’t wish to do.

How many sessions do I need?

It is up to you and depends on your particular situation but a minimum of 3 sessions is recommended. After the third session, I give you a CD to take home with you. Personal outcomes may vary.
